We Are Not Defenseless

God has not left us defenseless against the enemy’s tactics of lies, fear and fantasy. If we have suffered wounds from the devil’s activity, whether as a result of someone else’s behavior or through our own unwise choices, God can heal every physical, mental or emotional trauma we have experienced.

Unfortunately, we live in a society that has embraced a victim mentality. A victim mindset is one of helplessness, which produces hopelessness. Satan loves this! It is based on a lie that empowers him to continue to torment us with additional lies and fears.

The Gospel, the Good News, is a victorious message of hope that brings redemption and restoration. No situation is impossible with God. In the next chapter, we will learn the power of our weapons against the adversary.

Prayer

Father, thank You that no matter what I have suffered at the hands of the enemy through the sins of others, or even through my own decision to believe his lies, yield to fear or open a door to him through fantasy, You make all things new. I am not a victim. Rather, according to Your Word I can be forgiven, healed and set free. I am more than a conqueror!
